Blue Mountains Fitness Director and Principal Trainer Tony Williams has been involved in the recreation and fitness industry in Australia since 1993 and has led an adventurous life – Tony is aware of the challenges we all face when it comes to personal fitness at any level whether starting out or taking on the ultimate challenge. In addition, he was a firefighter for Fire Rescue New South Wales for 10 years and has in depth experience dealing with major and minor incidents and injuries in extreme circumstances.

His passion has led him to pursue a rewarding career in the fitness industry. He has worked in the gym, health retreats, bootcamps, school camps and personal training environments with clients ranging from weight loss, elite athletes, school children, disabilities, youth at risk, sporting teams, corporate groups and normal everyday people trying to improve their fitness and general wellbeing.
He played representative rugby union, was a successful mountaineer with expeditions to Alaska and Europe and rock climbed around the world including Australia, Europe, China, USA, Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia. He has climbed the famous 'Nose' route on the big wall of El Capitan in Yosemite, California, The Eiger, The Matterhorn and Mont Blanc,

The many sporting challenges he has undertaken and completed include Ultra Trail Mont Blanc 100 mile trail race, The Eiger Trail 101km trail race, several North Face Ultra Trail Australia 100km trail races in The Blue Mountains, Ironman United Kingdom, Ironman WA and Ironman Melbourne (3.8km swim/180km bike/42km run), LeEtapu D'Tour cycle race in France (100km plus including the famous Alpe D'Huez and Col Du Galibier hill climbs), full marathons, ocean swimming races and many trail ultra-marathons. He has completed the Hawkesbury 111km kayak race twice and raced marathon mountain bike races including the 'Wildside' 4 day stage race.
